Values Formation and You

“Education in values means the cultivation of affectivity, leading the educard through exposure to an experience of value and of the valuable”. As mentioned, to be moral is to be human, living by the right values and humanizes. In this lesson I have learned that, values is very important especially if you are in the service as a teacher. Values have dimensions, we need to understand the value of each dimensions we also need to know why we need to value such. Values are innate in each of us, it is up to you if you will follow such or not. Some people don’t matter with their values anymore because they are not using it. 

I realized that, being a person especially a future educator must know the values that we have. Especially for the Filipino people, we have a lot of values in our culture that until now we are following such. Teacher’s need to include in their everyday routine the values formation, we need to grow in knowledge and wisdom, openness with the varieties of values and our experiences in life. We need to be open and attentive with our lessons in ethics especially in the catholic schools.

As a future teacher, we must know all the value formations, because you cannot teach well if you don’t have values especially within yourself. This is one of the biggest challenges for us future teacher’s because we also need to teach our students the values that we have especially in our culture and home.
